Our Work
Our work is so important. Every year, more than one billion pounds of pesticides are intentionally applied each year across the country. Through our work we are reducing pesticide use and protecting the health of people and the environment. Learn more about our specific programs and campaigns below.
Sustainable Agriculture
Our Sustainable and Organic Agriculture Program is working to expand healthy farming practices in the Northwest. NCAP is committed to working together with farmers to advance sustainable agricultural practices in the Pacific Northwest.
Pesticide-free Parks
Our Pesticide-free Parks Program is creating safe places for families and kids to play. We are working to ensure that alternatives to pesticides are the norm rather than exception in public places such as parks. We work with both community members and city parks managers to ensure everyone has a safe place to play.
Healthy Kids, Healthy Schools
Our Healthy Kids, Healthy Schools Program is working to develop strong policies and models to reduce pesticide use in schools. Children are especially vulnerable to pesticides. NCAP works to protect children by preventing unnecessary toxic exposures in schools.
Clean Water for Salmon
Our Clean Water for Salmon program addresses the way pesticide use is seriously degrading our waterways and holding government accountable for protecting our water. Our work ensures that necessary protections are imposed and pesticides stop polluting our rivers and streams Pacific salmon call home.
