MARIANNE OBER, OREGON (PRESIDENT)

Marianne Ober is a law clerk for the Appellate Commissioner of the Oregon Court of Appeals. She earned her law degree from the University of Oregon. She has worked and volunteered with a variety of nonprofit organizations, including Seattle Tilth, the Oregon Clean Water Action Project, and SOAR Immigration Legal Services. While at Seattle Tilth she taught organic gardening and composting to elementary school children. Marianne is passionate about the health and wellness of individuals, communities and the environment. She has been a massage therapist for more than 15 years, and served as an AmeriCorps volunteer with the National AIDS Fund. Board member since 8/1/2016.

TONY BRAND, IDAHO

Tony Brand is owner of Brandtastic Soil, LLC and manufactures and distributes potting soil and soil amendments to retailers in Southern Idaho and Utah.  He has served with the board of the Twin Falls, Idaho Area Chamber of Commerce, Twin Falls Optimist Club and the Idaho Chapter of the March of Dimes.  He is a founding board member of the Twin Falls County Pest Abatement District where he has worked for prevention and a strong Integrated Pest Management policy. Tony is also a Master Gardener. Board member since 12/31/2012.

BRIANDA PAPE, OREGON

Brianda Pape holds a B.A. in Spanish and Portuguese from UCLA. She's currently pursuing a Sustainable Natural Resources graduate certificate at OSU. She loves the Northwest and has worked on tree planting projects in riparian areas, post-fire restoration efforts, and networks with local groups and organizations to promote the benefits of pesticide-free environments. She enjoys hiking, Nordic skiing, traveling, and volunteering, especially with her husband, Tim. Board member since 5/16/2019.

EVERETT CODD, OREGON (SECRETARY)

Everett Codd is a Certified Crop Adviser, Organic Crop Inspector, and holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Oregon State University, with a minor in Soil Science. He grew up on a small farm on the Southern Oregon coast, raising hogs and sheep through participation in 4-H for over 10 years. He continued an agricultural career after college, working with the USDA Agriculture Research Service, the North Carolina Department of Agriculture, the Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS), and the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI). Board member since 9/19/2019.
