Pesticide-Free Pledge

Pesticides are agents (including insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides) that are designed to kill living organisms. But they don't just kill the "pest," they can harm other creatures, too. Many common chemical pesticides are dangerous and can cause ill health effects in people, pets and wildlife when exposure occurs. Over time, repeated or severe exposures can lead to serious illnesses, cancer and birth defects.

Take the Pesticide-Free Pledge to keep your home, yard and garden free from toxic pesticides!

Most issues that you encounter in your home, yard or garden can be avoided or solved using ecological alternatives. That means being pesticide-free isn't just better for the environment, it's also easy!

Let the community know you took the pesticide-free pledge! Showcase your healthy home or yard by posting a photo of your yard on social media with the hashtag #pesticidefreepledge

"To help protect the environment, my health, and the health of others, I pledge to avoid using synthetic pesticides in my home, yard and garden."

We live in a toxic world and are bombarded by toxins daily from a cocktail of pesticides in our food, pollution, chemicals in our toiletries, food additives, preservatives, household cleaners, heavy metals, drugs (legal and illegal) and the less than healthy diets the majority of us eat – too much bad fat, salt, sugar, alcohol, caffeine etc.

70% of illnesses are related to a lack of minerals which are found in fruit and vegetables. The chemicals and pesticides sprayed on crops are contributing to all illnesses.

I also post on every Facebook page I can find to stop using poisons to poison rats and coyotes. My friend runs a songbird rehab and birds of prey facility and we get owls and Hawks and Eagles and all the time that is eaten rats that have been poisoned. And I help a friend who grows most all of her own food and uses no pesticides or herbicides
