Lynn's current project is updating our database system. She joined NCAP in 2005 as an administrative assistant. She previously managed production at Wise Women Herbals, a provider of medicinal herbs. Prior to that she worked in computer support at Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations. She received a B.A. in art history from the University of Georgia. She is also a certified herbalist through the Clinical Herbal Program in Albuquerque.

Aimee is the coordinator of NCAP's Clean Water for Salmon program. She also runs NCAP's pesticide right to know programs: Pesticide Use Reporting and Inerts Disclosure. Aimee spent two years in the Peace Corps in Honduras promoting organic gardening and educating communities about pesticide risks. She was previously employed at the National Pesticide Telecommunications Network, an EPA-funded public education group. Aimee earned an M.S. in Environmental Health and Toxicology at Oregon State University in 2000. She also holds a B.A. (1994) from Northern Arizona University, with interdisciplinary focus on international relations and environmental studies. She joined the NCAP staff in 2000.
Shelly Connor, Pesticide-Free Parks and Organizing for Organics Coordinator

Shelly's work focuses on establishing pesticide-free parks in the Northwest and making organic food available in Northwest schools. Previously, she worked as the associate director for Appalachian Voices, an environmental non-profit based in Boone, NC. In addition, she worked as director of Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture and served on the Board of Directors for two years. She also worked as a citizen outreach director where she ran a door-to-door fundraising campaign for Montana Public Interest Research Group (MontPIRG), Sierra Club and the Human Rights Campaign. She was the co-founder of the first Montana Farm to College Program at the University of Montana in Missoula. Shelly earned her BA degree in biology and MS degree in environmental studies from the University of Montana. Shelly joined the NCAP staff in 2008.

Norma was one of NCAP's founders in 1977 and was NCAP's Executive Director from 1983 to 2008.
Her pesticide reform work has included many public presentations,
media work, and service on three state agency advisory committees. She serves on the Board of Directors
and is an officer for the Oregon League of Conservation Voters. She is an advisory board member for
One Northwest, a non-profit that provides technical assistance to environmental organizations in upgrading
their electronic communication capacities. She graduated with a B.A. in Asian Studies from the University of Oregon in 1973.
Kim Leval, Executive Director

Kim joined NCAP as Executive Director in January 2009. Kim brings 20 years of non-profit work experience to NCAP. From 1997 to 2007, as policy analyst with the Center for Rural Affairs, Kim advocated for federal level policies to benefit family farms and ranches, sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship. Kim then worked as Fund Development Director for Rural Development Initiatives. Her work has included writing legislation and advocating for bills, educating the public on how to create needed reform, building programs that support alternatives to pesticides in agriculture and serving on national, regional and local boards. She holds a M.S. degree (1997) from Cornell University in Adult Education and Agricultural Extension and a B.A. (1989) in International Studies from the University of Oregon.

Jen coordinates NCAP's sustainable agriculture work with farmers in southern Idaho. She
previously taught plant biology at Southwestern College, a liberal arts college in Kansas. Jen
received her B.S. in biology from the University of Northern Iowa in 1994 and her Ph.D. in plant
physiology from The Pennsylvania State University in 2000. She joined the NCAP staff in 2002.
Kay Rumsey, Librarian and Healthy Homes and Gardens Coordinator

Kay has been NCAP's librarian since 1984. She created NCAP's unique library of more than 18,000 scientific articles, government documents,
and other materials that focus on the hazards of pesticides and alternatives to their use. Kay previously worked in university libraries in acquisitions,
cataloging, and reference. She earned a B.A. in Russian
from Cornell University in 1973 and an M.L.S. from Indiana University in 1977.
Katie Schuessler, Membership Coordinator

Katie joined NCAP in November 2007. She directs membership communications and fundraising campaigns as well as new member recruitment efforts. Katie also coordinates and oversees a committed network of volunteers. She has undergraduate degrees in anthropology, Japanese language, and fine art. Katie relocated to Eugene from Tucson, Arizona, where she worked as a freelance photographer and in the rights and reproductions department at the Center for Creative Photography.
Aria Seligmann, Communications Coordinator

Aria is NCAP's Communications Coordinator. Aria has an extensive career as a writer and editor and has
helped many Oregon organizations and political candidates with their public relations campaigns. With
Women's Action for New Directions (WAND), Aria teaches messaging workshops throughout Oregon. She was
previously employed as News Editor of Eugene Weekly and Managing Editor of Midwifery Today Magazine. Aria completed
her graduate work in 1995 at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication. She earned a B.A. in
English from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.

Haley manages outreach and volunteer coordination for NCAP's Pesticide-free Parks Program in Portland.
Previously, she worked with the Oregon Department of Human Services Fruit and Vegetable Program where she coordinated campaigns to promote health and nutrition through increased fruit and vegetable consumption. In addition, she has worked with the Oregon Farm-to-School and School Garden Network and with P-Patch Community Garden Program in Seattle. Haley also has experience working at farmer's markets and on an organic farm in Ohio. Haley earned her BS degree in Planning, Public Policy and Management from the University of Oregon and her MS in Education with a focus in Ecology, Culture and Learning from Portland State University. She joined NCAP in 2008.
Edward Winter, Financial Manager

Edward is NCAP's financial and office manager. Previously, he served as financial manager of an
organic juice cooperative for 12 years and worked as an accountant for 20 years. He also worked as a statistician for the
National Center for Health Statistics.
He earned a B.S. in mathematics and sociology from the University of Minnesota in 1964. He joined NCAP in 2000. |
