The President’s Cancer Panel report, “Reducing Environmental Cancer Risk: What We Can Do Now,” highlights that environmental contaminants have a stronger link to cancer risk than previously understood. At present, our regulatory system must prove there is human harm before action is taken to regulate a chemicals use. Among many recommendations, the report calls for a more precautionary approach to the regulation of toxins. We concur.
