Time for a Better Farm Bill

Tell Congress they need to produce an equitable, sustainable Farm Bill during the 2012 lame duck session.

As you know, the 2008 Farm Bill expired on September 30th. Congress usually passes a new bill to replace the old one when the time comes...but not this year. Their failure to agree on a bill means that food and agriculture programs across the country, including organic and conservation initiatives, are left without future funding.

This comes as a serious blow to sustainable agriculture in the US. Needless to say. we need a new Farm Bill, we need one that prioritizes our nation’s health, our farmers, and our natural resources, and we need it now.

Sign this Petition and tell Congress to do their job and give us an equitable, sustainable Farm Bill!
