Join NCAP for an hour long introduction to creating healthy habitat for pollinators, beneficial bugs and aquatic species downstream. The webinar will consist of two parts with a Q&A at the end.

Part One

View an excerpt from NCAP's upcoming healthy habitat short film. We'll share the principles of a healthy habitat, how to foster a diverse ecosystem and tips for managing pests and weeds without pesticides. You'll see examples of healthy habitat from an urban farm and weed management in action at Arbor Lodge Park, Portland's largest pesticide-free park.

Part Two

Entomologist Suzanne Wainwright-Evans will talk about her work with integrated pest management and beneficial insects used as biological controls. She will discuss habitat creation for these insects and eco-friendly pest management practices.

Webinar attendees will receive a free healthy habitat yard sign for completing an evaluation afterwards.

Guest Speaker Bio:

Suzanne Wainwright-Evans is an Ornamental Entomologist specializing in integrated pest management. Suzanne has been involved in the Green Industry for more than 29 years with a primary focus on biological control.

She is a graduate of the University of Florida with degrees in both Entomology and Environmental Horticulture. She has worked throughout the United States and internationally consulting for greenhouses, nurseries, landscapers and interiorscape companies.

Additionally, Suzanne is frequently published in trade magazines, teaches workshops, and lectures professionally to industry groups. Her lectures use her extensive library of insect photos and macro insect movies. She has spoken at the Smithsonian Institute as well as appeared on Growing a Greener World on PBS. She is the owner of Buglady Consulting, now in business for 20 years.
