TAKE ACTION FOR EARTH DAY

Earth Day is here! For more than 50 years, the world has recognized Earth Day as a day of action to create a better future for people and the planet.

NCAP and over 70 Oregon nonprofit partners are working to amplify Earth Day and tackle intersecting issues like pesticide exposure, climate change, and unjust food systems. In April, businesses and individuals will make donations and take action to collectively make a critical impact to change our world for the better. We hope you’ll join in this growing tradition of generosity, engagement, and action on Earth Day across the state!

As part of the campaign hosted by Earth Day Oregon, we’ve teamed up with GloryBee via their Save the Bee Initiative, Mountain Rose Herbs, Sorenson Law Office, Doak Creek Native Plant Nursery, and Bob's Red Mill to encourage people across our region to take action for a healthier planet.

Here are some ways you can join the campaign this April:

  1. Take the Pesticide-free pledge and share your commitment on social media using #pesticidefreepledge. We will choose one winning post each week in April to receive a “Go Pesticide Free” tote bag.
  2. Plant pesticide-free pollinator habitat to help Save the Bee. (Get info on what to plant from our friends at the Xerces Society here.) Share photos on social media using #savethebee and #pesticidefreepledge. We will choose one winning post each week in April to receive a “Pesticide-Free Healthy Habitat” yard sign.
  3. Join an Earth Day Oregon event if you live in Oregon. NCAP is hosting two events in April, one in Eugene and one in Treasure Valley. See the events here.
  4. Donate to support our work to create healthy ecosystems. Everyone who donates at least $5 in the month of April will be entered in a drawing to win a raffle basket filled with goodies from Bob’s Red Mill, GloryBee and Mountain Rose Herbs. Additional ways to enter will be shared on social media. Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook.

Thank you to our Earth Day Campaign Partners:
