NCAP Annual Pollinator Valentine Fundraiser

Show love for the planet and pollinators on Valentine's Day! This is an Earth-friendly, long-lasting gift that you can be proud to give.

When you donate $15 in honor of someone for Valentine's Day, we will install 12 linear feet of native plants for pollinator hedgerow on Northwest organic farms. For each $15 gift we will send a "Please Bee My Valentine" card and personal message to someone for you. The more valentines you send, the more pollinator plants we will install. Make a donation by the end of the day on Monday, February 7th in order to have a card mailed. Donations made after the 7th will have an electronic card sent instead.

Hedgerows are wonderful habitat that helps pollinators and other beneficial insects. Your gift will keep blooming year after year, providing food for beneficial bugs that will then pollinate nearby crops on the farm. After donating, you'll be directed to a form to let us know who this gift is for and the message we should include (or make it a gift for yourself, and we'll send you a card!).

If you're thinking about buying flowers to show your love this Valentine's Day, consider the amount of greenhouse gases that are emitted when cut roses and other flowers are flown to the U.S. from South America, the Netherlands and elsewhere. Then consider the likelihood that these flowers were sprayed with pesticides to make them look perfect for Valentine's Day.
